I thought that I was seeking beauty but she was seeking me.

I was convinced that she hid among the jars on my dressing table and in the potions on my counter, but I was wrong.  I thought that she would appear on the scale, in expensive labels or with a little black dress, but I was temporarily mistaken.  I feared that beauty had forgotten my address or she knew me not.  Lo and behold!  It is the lesson of the ruby slippers.  Beauty was here all the time, riding the wave of my giggles, the curve of my hip, and the touch of my fingers.  She was always with me because beauty is within me.

I am a sensual and beautiful woman.  The secrets of every queen who walked the earth before me lies within my genetic memory.  I remember and I am empowered.  Within me their tears are transformed to smiles, their doubts become power, their shackles dissolve and their hopes are fulfilled.  Rich with choice and blessed with decision, I am the woman they dreamed of. 

I am a sensual creature and I indulge in the pleasures of all of my senses.  I am the seer and the seen, the listener who is heard, the taster and the delight, the caresser and the touched, she who inhales and exudes the velvet smell of violet petals. And – ah, I sense that I am much, much more. 

I am nourished by food, drink and the pleasures of the flesh, but there is no need to overdo as I know that the riches I awake with today will be waiting for me tomorrow.  I am the beloved mirror and the face who winks back.  Simply put, I am gorgeous.  Bliss is mine today. 

I bathe in the gift of my sensual energies.  I awake every day to infinite possibilities, surrounded by beauty and the wealth of nature’s colors. I feel this beauty coursing through every cell of my being and surround myself with her gift.  My abode reflects beauty’s smile as does my dress and my actions.

I thought that I was chasing beauty but she was chasing me.  Waiting for me to open my eyes and embrace her.   My beauty bursts forth and is apparent to all who see me.  I am a superior model of the Creator’s blessings evolved. My skin glows, my hair blows, my words flows, my eyes know. I am a rare treasure and I treasure myself.  There is no need for conceit or boasting.  I am humble and that humility attracts all I need.  It feels good to be me.

And so it is, as for this I am so grateful.
